Who we are:
Noble Studio is a curious and playful creative collective, using design to accelerate positive change for people and the planet. We believe in amplifying social and environmental causes through considered design, using play and collaboration with our clients to create impactful visuals. Our clients trust us to be bold in our approach to conveying their vital data and messaging, often joining us on a journey of considered risk-taking that leads to new and dynamic solutions.
We’re super passionate about supporting impact-driven organisations at every level from grassroots change-makers and fledgling social startups, to larger third sector bodies, think tanks and research institutes. Our work includes: branding, infographics, animation, illustration and gamified resources.
Our strong values shape the way we approach everything we do as a studio, both with our clients and internally within our team. Our collaborative, playful and reflective way of working seems to mean our happy clients keep coming back, often recommending us to their networks, and our fun, creative and caring work culture is why our team all seem to stick around!
Our team of 6 (plus two sausage dogs) have been running as a studio for seven years and are looking to build additional project management capacity into our structure. We are looking for someone who shares our values and passion for the work, and brings the relevant skills.
The Role
Looking for a freelance copywriter to partner with Noble Studio initially on a Council project with Labour leadership, and with the potential to be involved in other client projects in the future.
The Lambeth project is a longer term project, working with the Housing Repair Service team, which involves several streams of work - all broadly aiming to share the innovative work done to date, and the next steps in the journey to relaunch and transform the service that sits at the heart of the community. Along with design, written materials will be a key part of the communications and strategic plan.
Working closely with the Lambeth Council team to create content, and partnering with Noble Studio on the overall comms strategy, the individual will not only work with the repairs team at Lambeth, but they will also need to work closely with the Council’s publicity team who will be responsible for publishing the content, particularly the social media.
Work will include both writing to specific briefs provided by Lambeth, and thinking strategically about what content could be created for relevant channels. The content will be for a range of audiences ranging from Council residents to elected councillors and politicians.
Some example work could look like:
Writing positive "good news stories" for social media and newsletters, using provided info from the repairs contractors and the in house repairs team (e.g. donating laptops to students, planting trees, hiring local apprentices)
Writing longer form report/business plan content to describe the transformed service, and future objectives.
Writing a residents guide to the newly launched Housing Repair Arbitration service (resolving disrepair disputes)
Creating comms content for the ‘Healthy Home Partner’ sub brand.
In addition to this project we are looking to expand our network of freelancers and as the studio grows there will be opportunity to work on other impact driven client work, as well as shaping our own studio comms.

The interview will be with the two team members and will take place on Google Meets and last 20 minutes. It will be an informal chat, including questions about your experience. We will share our interview questions via email prior to the call.
We are keen to create a comfortable and welcoming working environment and are constantly learning and improving our recruitment process. Directors Statement
“Our current team has a white, middle class, cis-gendered and non disabled bias, and we believe a wider breadth of life experience will enrich both the work we do, and the organisation as a whole. Therefore as well as being committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone regardless of their background - we are particularly keen to receive applications from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic people; people with disabilities (visible and invisible, mental and physical); people who identify as being LGBTQIA; and people who identify as working class or have done so in the past.
We completed an Allyship course last year, and are exploring further courses including unconscious bias training and anti racism training, for the wider team.”
